Introducing the P2P60km Walk Tall Charity Challenge

The annual WTA Point 2 Point 60 (#P2P60) will take place on the Sunday of September Daylight Savings Weekend, starting in 2019. But the beuaty of this idea is that there is nothing stopping you walking the same route every day, every week, or even once a month.

Walkers are encouraged to select the distance and/or stage/stages that they believe they can complete without dropping their pace below a 10 minute kilometre (6km per hour).

You don’t have to walk the whole 60kms. You can walk one way (30km), or just one stage (8, 10 or 12km).

The challenge requires every walker to pick up at least 1kg worth of rubbish along the way, or within a 1km radius of a ‘pit-swap’ areas.

Walkers may complete more than one stage and two teammates can choose to walk on any one stage together (two’s company, three’s a crowd).

Each pit-swap area will have a place for walkers to prepare for, and recover from, their walk.

Walkers who register and agree to our T&C’s will be tracked using smart phone GPS, allowing their teammates and event control to know exactly where people are along the route.

Those wanting to have their results recorded, will be required to pay a non-refundable donation of $25 for adults and $10 for students and under 12s (entrants under 16yrs must be accompanied by an adult).

Ideally, each team will be fundraising for a different charity or incorporated society, going head to head to try and raise the most amount of money.  The team that has picks up the most litter at the end will be rewarded at the end!
